Charity Game in Aid of Lydia Branley Trust Fund
The Club has organised a game for St Stephen’s Day at 12 noon.

Every year a game is organised in aid of a local charity. This year any money raised will go to the Lydia Branley Trust Fund.

Local girl Lydia sadly suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident over a year ago.

All players are asked to tog out for this game and everyone is asked to come along and support this worthy cause.

Souvenir Booklet 2011
The booklet “Gael Force 11” is now for sale in locally.

It provides a light hearted look at all the games and events that took place over the year.

Price of the Booklet is €5.

Congratulations Fabian
Congratulations and well done to Fabian Mc Morrow who was selected as Intermediate Player of 2011 by the County Board.

This is a well deserved honour for Fabian who is a very talented and dedicated player.

Congratulations Billy
The club would like to congratulate Billy Gavigan who has been made captain of Bundoran Golf Club.

AGM
This Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held in The Community Centre on Thursday December 29th at 7pm. A large attendance is requested as more people are needed to help out with the running of the Club.

Lotto Draw
The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto draw held in Gilbride’s Bar, Rossinver on Sunday night Dec., 3rd were- 2,3,11 and 24. There was no Jackpot winner.

Other winners were : €40 Heather Mc Gowan, Unshinagh, Kinlough and €20 each , Declan Foley, Kinlough and Hugo Gilmartin, C/o the Village Inn, Kinlough.

Next Draw on Sunday night Dec 18th in the Village Inn, Kinlough. Jackpot €2,750.

Junior A Champions 2011!

Melvin Gaels 2-08 Mohill 0-11

Melvin Gaels won the Junior A Football Championship Final in Ballinamore yesterday to gain promotion to Intermediate level next season and complete an amazing double in a matter of weeks for the Club. This means that for the first time in the history of the Club there will be teams competing at the top two levels in the county.

Intermediate Champions 2011!

Melvin Gaels gained promotion back to senior status following a 1-14 to 1-05 victory over Gortletteragh in the Intermediate County Final last Saturday evening in Ballinamore.

The Gaels had a great win over a very determined Gortletteragh team in Ballinamore on Saturday evening. The scoreline suggests that this was an easy win for the Gaels but for the large Melvin Gaels support it was a very nervous time, especially in the first half.

Gortletteragh were the better team in the first half and only for some great scores by ‘Man of the Match’ Emlyn Mulligan and a fantastic save by Jesse Mc Guinness the margin could have been much greater than a single point. After a nervous start to the second half the Gaels dominated the game and finished comfortable winners. There were jubilant scenes at the end of the game.

Thanks for the great support at the game and the great reception when the team arrived back in Kinlough.

Well done to each and every one of the intermediate panel who put so much hard work into ensuring that the Gaels return to the Senior Championship in 2012.

Congratulations to Billy and Brian on doing such a great job.
