A Great Performance!
Congratulations to all the Leitrim team and mentors on a great performance against Laois last Saturday evening. With a bit of luck they could have been facing Meath at the weekend. The Club would like to thank the Gaels players, Fabian, Emlyn, Conor and Paul for all their hard work and commitment to the county over the year.
The Championship Begins
On Saturday evening the Senior team travel to Pairc Sean and take on the reigning County Champions and near neighbours Glencar/Manor in the first round game of the Senior Championship 2012. Glencar/Manor are hot favourites again for the Championship, but as usual this will be a close encounter.
Good Luck to all the lads and mentors, Billy, Liam and Aiden.
Throw in for this game is 7.30pm.
Then on Sunday the second team take on Cloone in the Intermediate championship first round in Drumkeerin at 12 noon.
Good Luck to all the lads and Dessie and Gareth.
It would be nice to see a good support for the Gaels at both these games.

The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw held in Gilbride’s, Rossinver on Sunday night July 22nd were: 5, 8, 9 and 16. There was no Jackpot winner. Other winners were €40 Vincent Rooney, Ballintrillick, €20 each, Joe McCarron, 26 Barley Fields, Bealnamullia, Athlone, Co. Well Done
Congratulations and well done to the Leitrim team and mentors on the great win over Wicklow on Saturday evening. It will be another big evening next Saturday when they take on Laois in Pairc Sean.
Good look to all the lads and we all hope they can do it again.
Cúl Camp
There was a great attendance at the Cúl Camp held in Melvin Park last week. It was great to see such a great crowd of children and they all seemed to be enjoying the whole thing.
The Club would like to thank Jimmy Holohan and all the Camp workers, Mark Mc Gourty, Brendan Beirne, Ronan Flynn, Aaron Hickey, Alan Hickey, Brona Rooney and Hurling Coach, Steve Feeney.
Lotto
The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw held in the Village Inn, Kinlough on Sunday night July 8 were: 7, 13,14 and 20. There was no Jackpot winner. Other winners were €40 Jimmy Phelan, Wardhouse, Tullaghan, €20 each, JP Gallagher, Uragh, Kinlough, Eamon Mc Gloin, Kinlough and Evelyn Rooney, Edenville, Kinlough.
