Membership is now due for 2010 and money should be given to Club Treasurer, or any member of the Committee as soon as possible.
Bord na nOg AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Bord na nOg took place last Wednesday night in the Community Centre.
There was a good attendance and some new people were elected on the Committee. Mark Cleary of Cloone, Kinlough is the new Chairman and Gerry Sweeney, Main Street is the new Vice Chairman. The new Secretary is Mary Mc Sharry also from Cloone, Kinlough and she will be assisted by Stephen Connolly Senior. Martin Collins stays on as Treasurer and his assistant Karen Collins stays on as well.
The Club would like to wish them every success in 2010.
A word of thanks to Francis Mc Gloin and Stephen Connolly junior for their work over the past year.

Bord na nOg AGM
The AGM of Melvin Gaels Bord na nOg will take place in Kinlough Community Centre on Wednesday January 20th at 8pm. A good attendance is requested.
Sympathy
The club extends deepest sympathy to the Rooney family, Glencar, on the death of Francie. May he rest in peace.

Club Annual General Meeting
The AGM took place last Saturday evening in the Community Centre and there was a good attendance.
All the outgoing officers were re-elected.
We wish Terry Tiffoney, Ciara Barrett and Antoinette Ryan every success in 2010.
Presentation of medals
Presentation of medals to the Under 21 team, who won the B Championship, took place in the Community Centre on Saturday night.
The medals were presented to the players by our own Emyln Mulligan.
Emyln said he was delighted to be giving out medals to his own clubmates.
A word of thanks to all who worked hard to put up such a great meal on the night.
Club Chairman, Terry Tiffoney thanked Gareth Phelan, Joe Mc Gowan and David Mc Sharry who put in so much work with the Under 21s and he also thanked all who worked so hard to the make the night so successful.
Congratulations to Paul Brennan, who was voted Senior Player of the Year for 2009.
Paul was presented with a trophy by John Gallagher, Spring a Ring Taxis, who has sponsored the Player of the year award for the past number of years.
Charity Game
Well done to all the players who braved the elements and turned out for the Annual Charity game on St. Stephen’s Day.
About 25 players turned out, some young and some more who have been threatening to retire from the game for a good number of years, gave a great account of themselves on what could be described as a very hard and slippery surface.
Well done to all concerned and thanks to all who contributed to the North West Simon Community.
Lotto
The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto draw held in McGloins, Kinlough on Sunday December 27 were- 8,9, 20 and 22.
There was no Jackpot winner.
Other winners were, €40 Evelyn Rooney, Kinlough, €20 each, Donal Hamrogue c/o Sean Ogs, Patsy Mc Govern, Ardfarna and Catherine Sheridan, Gubacreeny.
Next draw in Gilbrides, Rossinver on Sunday January 10, Jackpot €4,400.
Membership
Membership is now due for 2010.
The cost of Club membership has gone up to €25 but the Membership and entry to the Club Lotto for the year remains the same at €50.

Melvin Gaels Bord na nOg AGM
The AGM of Melvin Gaels Coiste na nOg will take place in Kinlough Community Centre on Wednesday December 9 at 8pm. A large attendance is requested.
The Club is looking for more people to get involved in underage football in the club this next year. It is important that for the future of the club that there is a large attendance at this meeting,
Variety Concert
Come along on Friday night at 8pm for the Concert and support the local talent.

Melvin Gaels Stephen’s Day Charity Game
Melvin Gaels Seniors/Juniors took on the Under 21 team in the Annual Charity Game on St Stephen’s Day in Melvin Park. The good weather ensured there was a great turnout for the game. The Senior/Junior team were narrow winners in the end with Senior Manager, Val Murray, giving a great performance.
The money raised from the collection this year is going to help raise funds for Gerda Benz, Wardhouse, Tullaghan who is going on her annual trip to Lima, Peru where she teaches the street children.
The total amount collected was €320.00.
Thanks to all the players and supporters who turned out and to Ciara and Edel who provided refreshments after the game.
Lotto Draw
The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw held in the Wellington Bar on Christmas Eve were- 2,10,11 and 14.
There was no Jackpot winner.
Other winners were- 40 Euro Padraig Mc Guinness, Gurteendarragh, Kinlough, 20 Euro each, Mick Condron, Kinlough Aiden Dolan, Kinlough and Michelle Condron, Kinlough.

Club Annual General Meeting
The AGM of the Club took place on December 15 in the Community Centre.
The following new officers were elected-
Chairman, Terry Tiffoney; Secretary, Ciara Barrett and Treasurer, Antoinette Ryan.
Outgoing Secretary, Joe Mc Carron will remain as Assistant Secretary, outgoing Treasurer, James Mc Gowan will remain as assistant Treasurer and Gareth Phelan remains as Vice Chairman..
Joe Mc Carron continues as PRO.
Good Luck to all the new officers and hopefully the club can progress in 2009.
Winning the Senior League in 2008 was a great achievement and hopefully it will be the start of many good years to come.

Senior League Final
The Senior League Final takes place on Sunday next in Pairc Sean, Carrick between the Gaels and Glencar/Manorhamilton.
This will be a close encounter as usual.
Throw in for this game is 1.30pm.
Good Luck to Val, David, Liam, Michael and all the lads.
Under 21 A Championship Semi-Final
The Gaels Under 21 team were beaten by the narrowest of margins in Ballinaglera on Saturday afternoon by Glencar/Manorhamilton.
This was a very entertaining game and the game could have gone either way up until the final minutes.
The Gaels had the better of the first half but failed to take all their chances and the sides went into the break all square- five points each. The Gaels had a total of five wides to Glencar/Manorhamilton’s one.
The second half was more even with Glencar/Manor coming out on top by a single point.
This was a very entertaining game, played on a tricky surface.
Final score Melvin Gaels 0-11 Glencar/Manor 0-12.
The Gaels gave their all and have performed very well in their first year in the Under 21 A Championship. Well done to all concerned. Thanks to Ciara for providing food after the game.
Good Luck to Glencar/Manorhamilton in the Final.
