League Game v Kiltubrid
The Seniors got a very welcome win on Saturday evening when they beat Kiltubrid on a scoreline of 1-9 to 1-7.

The Gaels started well after Kiltubrid got the opening score of the game, a point from a free. The Gaels then went into a five point lead thanks to a goal from James Bredin, two points from David Mc Sharry from frees and a Paul Mc Gurran point from play.

Then Kiltubrid got a goal and the Gaels went in at the break leading by the narrowest of margins.

In the second half the Gaels again got some good scores and went back ahead by five points with ten minutes to go. Then Kiltubrid came back once more and scored three points without reply.

The Gaels then held on for a deserved victory.

There was some great passages of play by both sides in this game which was played in near perfect conditions.

This win has means that the Gaels will play in Division 1 of the League next year.

Cyclathon for Player Injury Fund
On Saturday October 30th the Club is holding a novelty ‘Cyclathon’ in aid of the newly formed Player Injury Fund.

This has been a tough year for the Club with two key players suffering very serious injuries.

The ‘Cyclathhon’ takes place at three locations in Kinlough at Simpsons and Spar and at the Maxol Filling Station, Tullaghan..It will atke place from 9am to 9pm and a lot of volunteers from the Club and the Community are asked to help out.
