Melvin Gaels Club Notes - November 1999
Melvin Gaels G.F.C. held its AGM last Friday night in the Conference Centre of the Community Centre in Kinlough. A large attendance insured that exchanges were brisk and no quarter asked or given. For the first year of the millennium the following officers have been elected to steer the Gaels:
Chairperson: Marie Gilmartin
Vice Chairperson: Patsy McGovern
Secretary: Kathleen Phelan
Treasurer: Joe McCarron
PRO: Liam Gilmartin
It was also decided that the selectors for the senior team would be cut from four down to two. Congratulations must be given to James McGowan who chaired the meeting in the absence of the ex-vice chairman, Vinnie Rooney, who had other commitments, i.e. Sligo and lambing on the island.
