Club Notes 4th July 2005
Senior Championship
The first round of the Senior Championship begins this weekend when Melvin Gaels travel to Ballinglera where they take on last years champions Annaduff at 7pm on Saturday evening.
This is a tough start for the Gaels and the will need to improve on their recent performances if they want to progress.
The game against Annaduff in the League recently ended in a win for the south Leitrim team. They are a good team and will gain from their experience last year.
Good luck to Barbour and Jimmy and the entire panel.
Please come out and support the team on their first game of the championship.
1998 was the last time the seniors won the Championship and it would be great to progress this year.
Under 14 Success
Congratulations to the Under 14 team who won the County Division 2 title last Wednesday evening.
The Under 14s have now added to the success of the Under 16 and Four Masters wins. So far this year the underage success has been phenomenal and this augurs well for the future of the Club.
Congratulations Noel Mc Gowan and Dessie Sheridan on this great win.
Leitrim V Meath
Well done to Dessie Dolan and all the Leitrim team on the great display on Sunday.
I think Leitrim showed that they can compete with any team and will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
Well done to Melvin Gaels players Gareth and Colin.
GAA Summer Camp
The GAA Summer Camp fro Under 14 Children starts on July 11 in Kinlough.
