Club Notes 4th January 2005
On St Stephens Day there was a Charity Match held in Melvin Park in aid of Hospice.
The Under 21 B Championship winners took on a Senior Selection.
This was a hard fought contest, which was well controlled by referee, Joe Tiffoney.
The Seniors maintained that they won the game, but Joe was adamant it ended in a draw.
There was a collection at the match, which amounted to €305 that will be handed over to Sligo Hospice.
Thanks to everyone who took part and supported the game.
AGM
The Club’s Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday evening.
There was a good attendance and plans for the year ahead were discussed.
The election of officers for 2005 was as follows:
Chairman - Dessie Sheridan
Vice Chairman - Noel McGowan
Secretary - Joe McCarron
Assistant Secretary - Francis McGloin
Treasurer - James McGowan
Assistant Treasurer - Simon Foley.
PRO - Joe McCarron.
All three joint Presidents Aiden McGowan, Pat McGurran and Seamus McGowan were re-elected.
The first club meeting was fixed for January 12.
