Club Notes 15th August 2005
Senior
Championship
The Senior team have qualified for the Quarter Final of the Senior Championship and play Aughawillan next Saturday evening.
They defeated Ballinaglera last Saturday on a score line of Melvin Gaels 0-12
Ballinaglera 0-3.
The Gaels will need to play better and not miss so many scoring opportunities if they hope to progress.
This was a well-deserved victory and they have done well in the group stages of the competition.
On the League form, nobody would have backed this team to go this far, but they have worked hard in all the games and great credit must go to all concerned.
Congratulations to Barbour and Jimmy and the entire panel and good luck in the game on Saturday.
It would be nice to see more support for the team this weekend.
Junior Championship
The Junior team had a comfortable win over Kiltubrid in the final game of the group stages of the Junior A Championship.
This now means that they have qualified for the semi-final.
This has been a great achievement by this team, which has a big mixture of young and ‘not so young’ players.
It will be tougher in the semi final and the training will need to be stepped up if they hope to progress to the final for a second time round.

Meeting
There is a club meeting on Wednesday night at 9pm.
