Sunday’s Big Game
Once again Leitrim and Roscommon gave us a very exciting game in Carrick.
Well done to Gareth, Colin and BB.
Hopefully they will finish the job in Hyde Park!
Declan Rowley and lads once again proved the so called ‘football experts’ wrong.
Leitrim can compete with the best.
Well done to Melvin Gaels players who provided such great vocal support during
the game.
Simon showed his driving skills in getting the minibus right up beside the
pitch, even though he took the ‘scenic route’ to get from Elphin to Carrick!!
Gaels Wedding
Congratulations to Seamus Gallagher and his new bride Marie who got married on
Saturday in Cashelard, Ballyshannon.
We heard that Brendan, the groomsman was waving the Leitrim flag in the Central
Hotel in Donegal Town – brave man!
Seamus is going to live in Uragh and no doubt will soon be back in action for
the Gaels.
Junior League Semi-Final
On Sunday in Ballinaglera the Juniors are playing in the league semi-final. All
Junior players are asked to prepare for this important game.
Melvin Gaels Lotto
The winning numbers in the Lotto draw held in the Dew Drop Inn Tullaghan on
Sunday night were: 2, 8, 7, 10.
There was no Jackpot winner.
Other winners were :
€40 Breda Kilkenny, Parke, Kinlough. €20 each, Angela Gillespie, Wardhouse,
Tullaghan, Martin Mc Gowan, Duncarbery, Tullaghan, and Edel O’Flaherty,
Rossinver.
Next Draw in Wellington Bar, Kinlough on Sunday July 4.

Club Information
As this is the 50th Anniversary of the Melvin Gaels Club it is hoped to gather
as much information as possible concerning their 50 years in existence.
Anyone who has been associated with the club and has any items of interest e.g.
paper cuttings, photographs etc.. is asked to get in contact with the secretary

Club Meeting
There will be a Club Meeting held at 9pm on Wednesday night.
A good attendance is requested, as there are some important issues to be
discussed.
Membership
Membership is now due for this year and €20 should be paid as soon as possible
to Noel Mc Gowan.
Entry to Lotto and membership for €50 can be paid if anyone wishes.
