Senior Championship

The Senior Championship Game against Gortletterragh, which was postponed on Sunday, now takes place next Sunday 1st August in Pairc Sean, Carrick on Shannon at 3pm.

Good Luck to Gareth and Joe and all concerned.

Hopefully this time will suit a lot more supporters and there will be a good turn out on Sunday.

Thanks to Daniel Branley for his good wishes from California.

Nice to see he’s keeping in touch with events on the football scene in Leitrim.

Hopefully he will soon be back with the Gaels.

A speedy recovery to John Mc Gowan Glenade from his recent illness and also to Paul Lipsett from his injury.

Good to see Stephen Clancy making such a good recovery and hopefully he will soon be back in full training.

 

Junior All Ireland.

The Melvin Gaels Club would like to extend Good Luck to the Leitrim Junior Team in the All Ireland Final against Waterford on Saturday in Portlaoise.

As this is the 50th Anniversary of the Melvin Gaels Club it is hoped to gather as much information as possible concerning their 50 years in existence.

Under 12 training continues every Saturday at 12 noon.

Melvin Gaels V Drumkeerin

Last Wednesday evening the Under 12 team had another great win over Drumkeerin in Melvin Park.

This was a great performance by this young team.

 

Membership

Membership is now due for this year and €20 should be paid as soon as possible to Noel Mc Gowan.

Entry to Lotto and membership for €50 can be paid if anyone wishes.

Forms for this can be got from any club member.

 

Meeting

There will be a Club meeting on Wednesday  night at 9pm.

As many club members as possible are asked to attend this meeting as arrangements are now being made for the 50th Anniversary celebrations and more people would be needed to help out.
