Brendan McHugh Tournament:

Melvin Gaels will be represented at the annual Brendan Mc Hugh Memorial tournament in Bundoran on Saturday 5th February.  This is the first tournament of the year and for many the first game of the new millenium.  Hopefully the gaels can go a bit further in the tournament this year.  It will be a good run out anyway.

 

Dinner Dance:

The Melvin Gaels Dinner Dance is on the 19th of Feb in the Holyrood Hotel, Bundoran.  Music on the night will be provided by Hair Of The Dog.   Tickets are priced at £10 and can be purchased from any committee member.   All are welcome!

 

Millenium Poll:

In what has to be described as a closely fought battle, Liam Gilmartin won the title of Melvin Gaels player of the last millenium.  Himself and Simon Foley were neck and neck for the past few weeks but Gilmartin took the lead in the end.  The challenge now for the Melvin Gaels star is to maintain the form shown over the last few years.  Gilmartin had his kicking boots on last season for sure and all eyes will be on the marksman as the Gaels try to capture the 1999 League title.  The results are shown below.
